I am so very glad that you write, Louise. I enjoy every word like a satisfying and delicious meal. This was an especially delightful treat; thank you for sharing the owl family with us.
What a beautiful and sooo beautifully written story! Thank you so much for sharing Louise. I can only imagine how heart wrenching it must be to endure other peoples greediness of the owls, and your deep worry for their safety. Thrilled they’re safely fledged now and hopefully at peace!! My husband rescued a barred owl 6 years ago. It’d been hit by a car. He took it down to Cape Neddick for rehabilitation and we had the absolute joy of being asked to return and bring the owl back here for release. Being that close to one was amazing—magical and scary, they’re so powerful and precious. I’ll never forget it.
I am crying because I was so scared that we humans would have disturbed and thus doomed the fledglings and because your description is so touching. Thank you for sharing. I have never seen an owl in the wild-I don’t think I’ve ever heard one. Time to research and broaden my experiences. I’m so grateful!
I am so verklempt I'm not even stressing about if I spelled verklempt correctly! This is a beautiful tribute to your winter and spring with an owl family.
I have tears in my eyes after reading this, Louise! What a wonderful odyssey with the owls. Thank you so much for sharing this experience. And I am now following your friend Bob on Instagram, so thank you for that as well. :-)

Thank you so much, Suzy!
I've only seen one owl in the woods, but I've heard them on my walks. I love it when I hear their hoots.
Isn’t it the best sound?!
It is! It is very mystical to me.

I hope there are owl sounds in your future! The best time is at dusk, esp in the autumn and winter 🦉
